Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd., a key player in India’s clean energy landscape, has bagged a major engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) order worth ₹345 crore for a solar power project in Rajasthan. The contract marks a significant addition to the company’s growing portfolio of renewable energy infrastructure across the country.
The project will involve setting up a large-scale ground-mounted solar power plant, furthering Rajasthan’s status as one of India’s leading solar energy hubs. Waaree is expected to undertake complete execution of the project, including design, supply, construction, and commissioning of the plant.
The company has not disclosed the name of the client but confirmed that the execution timeline is set at 12 months from the date of contract signing. This move aligns with Waaree’s broader strategy to expand its footprint in utility-scale renewable energy projects while contributing to India’s clean energy targets.
Rajasthan, known for its high solar irradiance and vast land availability, continues to attract both public and private sector investments in solar infrastructure. Waaree’s new project is expected to add significant capacity to the state’s renewable grid while generating employment and supporting local development.
Waaree Renewable Technologies, part of the larger Waaree Group, has been steadily strengthening its position in the solar EPC segment. The company has successfully executed multiple utility-scale and rooftop solar projects across various states and is a preferred partner for several large energy consumers and investors.
With this latest order, Waaree reaffirms its commitment to driving India’s transition toward a sustainable energy future and enhancing its capabilities in delivering turnkey green energy solutions.
